User accounts can exist either Online or On-premises, and that will affect the features available to that user. Users with accounts on Skype for Business Online will not have access to the following features, even with the Full client:

Microsoft today announced that it will replace Skype Meetings App on Mac with Skype for Business desktop app from April 5. Skype Meetings App is a web-downloadable meetings app which can be used when a Skype for Business desktop app is not installed on a computer.

In order to support this change, Microsoft has reduced the size of Skype for Business desktop app installer. And Microsoft is adding support for uploading and downloading attachments during meetings in desktop app. Moving to Skype for Business Desktop app also brings other advantages like support for screen sharing, more reliable audio and video, optimized to work well with macOS 10.14 (Mojave), including Dark Mode and more.
